2. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files that a website can place in your browser. Browser storage areas such as localStorage and sessionStorage may also be used for similar purposes.
3. Current status (important)
On your first visit, a cookie banner is displayed offering the choice to accept or decline analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage: cookie_consent_v1) and can be changed at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
If you decline or have not yet made a choice, Google Analytics does not set cookies and Yandex Metrica session recording / click maps remain off; basic visit statistics continue to be kept. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
4. Cookies set by first-party code
Our application code does not write cookies directly via document.cookie. The cookies seen on the site originate from third-party scripts.
5. Analytics — Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica
Google Analytics 4 is used (measurement ID G-ZPTMJFB9WS). The gtag script is added when the page loads; page view events are sent on page changes. Thanks to Google Consent Mode, no cookies are set before consent is given and only cookieless measurement signals are sent.
When you give consent, Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. These are for usage statistics and measurement purposes. Their durations depend on Google’s practices.
Yandex Metrica (counter 112001301) is used for visit statistics and may set cookies such as _ym_uid and _ym_d. Session recording (Webvisor) and click maps are activated only on page loads after you give consent.
6. Local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage)
Storage keys used in the code:
- localStorage: i18nextLng — language preference
- localStorage: user_language_manual — the explicit choice the user made in the language selector
- localStorage: cookie_consent_v1 — the accept / decline choice made in the cookie banner
- sessionStorage: detected_geo_country — session cache of the country code detected via geo-IP
7. Geo-IP technology
When there is no manual language preference, on the first visit to the home page (/) api.country.is and, if necessary, ipapi.co may be called for country detection. These requests are not cookies but external API calls; the IP address may be transmitted to the relevant service.
8. Other third-party technologies
The Netlify Identity widget (identity.netlify.com) is loaded only on the admin panel and on invitation and password reset links; it is for CMS/administrator authentication and may use its own storage or cookies.
FormSubmit is used for form submission; it does not require a FormSubmit cookie to be placed in the visitor’s browser before a form is submitted, but a request is sent to FormSubmit upon submission.
No advertising / remarketing pixel (e.g. Meta Pixel) is installed on the site.
9. Control via your browser
You can delete, block or restrict cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking may affect some features (for example, remembering your language preference or analytics).
For Google Analytics, browser add-ons or account/settings options offered by Google may also be used; these are Google’s own tools.
